This dining table design is substantial, masculine, and still refined. The top uses quarter-cut Mozambique to create a chevron effect - which becomes a diamond when the table is closed. The pedestals revisit the Art Deco tulip, with concentric routing for a sense of depth, over a stepped base. The geometric nature of this design tends to unify a dining room. While the table works easily with a large serving piece, it also allows multiple, more eclectic support items. When not in use, impressive pedestals encourage the owner to consider showing it without the side chairs.
